A personal phrase can open a web page instead of pasting text when the phrase content is a complete web address that begins with http:// or https://.

Create a web-link phrase

1. Open My Library in the Online Library.
2. Create a new personal phrase in the folder you want.
3. Enter a clear name and abbreviation.
4. For the phrase content, enter the complete web address by itself, including https:// when available.
5. Save the phrase and sync the desktop app if needed.

When you execute that phrase from Desktop, dotScribe removes the typed trigger and asks your computer to open the address in your default browser.

If you want the address to paste as text

A phrase whose entire content begins with http:// or https:// is treated as a web-link action. If your goal is to paste explanatory text that happens to contain an address, keep it as ordinary phrase text rather than relying on the link-opening behavior.

If the page does not open

Confirm that the phrase contains a complete valid web address and that your computer or organization permits the browser destination. Do not disable workplace security controls to force a blocked site to open.
