Creating Phrases with Text and Web Links in dotScribe
Create phrases that include web links and ensure they paste correctly.
Opening Links with dotScribe
- Link Requirement: Making a template in dotScribe with a link as the content will open that link into a new browser window when that template is executed. dotScribe only opens links if they include "http://" or "https://". This prevents accidental opening of emails or other non-web addresses.
Creating Phrases with Text and/or Web Links
Text-Only Phrases:
- You can create a phrase that pastes text without any web links.
Creating Rapid Links:
- When you create a phrase that only has a web link, dotScribe will instantly open the link in a new browser window upon execution.
- To make a rapid link that opens a new browser window with your executed phrase, make sure to include "https://" in the link.
- Example: "https://www.example.com"
Phrases with Text and Web Links:
- If you need to create a phrase that includes both text and a web link, ensure the link does not start with "http://" or "https://".
- Example: "www.example.com."
