This is most commonly due to not granting dotScribe ACCESSIBILITY access in your System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Privacy during installation. dotScribe requires Accessibility features in order to function correctly.
Here's how to grant dotScribe ACCESSIBILITY access:
1. Go to System Preferences, click Security & Privacy, then click General. Click the lock and enter your password to make changes. In the Allow apps downloaded from section, select App store and identified developers
2. Also in Security & Privacy, click the Privacy tab. Select Accessibility, then click the plus sign to add dotScribe
3. Exit dotScribe, restart your computer, and open dotScribe. This should allow suggestions and phrase execution.
4. If the problem is not fixed - also add dotScribe to Input Monitoring under System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Privacy
5. Exit dotScribe, restart your computer, and open dotScribe.
Please submit a HelpDesk ticket if the problem remains unresolved. The Mac version is still BETA testing and we appreciate you patience and feedback.
