dotScribe AI can help clinicians work with text while keeping the clinician in control of what is provided, reviewed, and used.
Use only what the task needs
When patient information is involved, provide only the minimum information needed for the task and use the AI workflow permitted by the current dotScribe Terms and your organization’s policies.
Keep reusable content reusable
Do not save patient-identifying information in personal phrases, reusable Library content, support screenshots, or other persistent dotScribe content. The current Terms describe the permitted handling of PHI, including the zero-data-retention AI features covered by dotScribe’s HIPAA Business Associate Agreement.
Review before use
- Open dotScribe AI deliberately when you want assistance.
- Review and edit the result before using it.
- You remain responsible for patient-specific diagnosis, treatment, interpretation, final documentation, and final billing or coding decisions.
Protect your account
Never enter or send passwords, MFA or verification codes, API keys, recovery codes, or other reusable credentials in AI prompts, Help Center forms, screenshots, or support messages.
More information
The current Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. The current Terms of Service control permitted use of dotScribe, including PHI and AI-related requirements.
