How to Use dotScribe - The Basics

1. dotScribe gives you suggestions as you type. With dotScribe open, start typing in any desktop application (Electronic Health Records, notepad, Microsoft word, or anywhere else that you can type). Typing without spaces is how you search dotScribe, hitting the space bar resets the suggestion window.

2. Hit the execute key to paste. Use the arrow keys to preview a phrase, template, or weblink. Hit the execute key (default is ctrl) to paste your template or open your weblink. To read more about dotScribe’s rapid links, view this article.

3. Turn off dotScribe suggestions. Click the dotScribe icon to expand the dotScribe toolbar. When you are done using dotScribe, minimize the toolbar to turn off suggestions.
