Get started with dotScribe by understanding its basic functionality and how to use its core features.
1. Getting Suggestions as You Type
- How It Works:
- With dotScribe open, start typing in any desktop application, such as Electronic Health Records (EHR), notepad, Microsoft Word, or any other application where you can type.
- dotScribe gives you real-time suggestions based on what you type.
- Typing without spaces searches dotScribe; hitting the space bar resets the suggestion window.
2. Executing Phrases
- Previewing and Pasting:
- Use the arrow keys to preview a phrase, template, or web link from the suggestions list.
- Hit the execute key (default is left Ctrl) to paste your selected template or open your web link.
3. Turning Off dotScribe Suggestions
- Disabling Suggestions:
- Click the dotScribe icon to turn off suggestions when you do not need them.
