Use the Desktop date and time shortcut

Use the Desktop date and time shortcut

dotScribe Desktop can paste the current local date and time with a configurable keyboard shortcut.

Choose the shortcut

  1. Open the dotScribe menu.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Find DateTime Shortcut.
  4. Choose CTL+SHIFT+D or CTL+SHIFT+T.

Use it

  1. Place your cursor in the field where you want the date and time.
  2. Press the shortcut you selected.

dotScribe pastes the current local date and time in a numeric month/day/year format followed by the time.

If the shortcut conflicts with another application

Switch to the other available DateTime Shortcut in Settings. If dotScribe triggers the shortcut but the text does not paste correctly, see Fix paste or insertion problems.
